Merry Christmas from the Jenkins Family

And what a wonderful Christmas it was!  We were so blessed this year...the gift of having Carter made this one even more special!  Our family of 3 is now a perfect family of 4, and we couldn't be happier!  Happy New Year to everyone!  2010 has been so good to us...I can't wait to see what 2011 brings!

Happy 2nd Month-Day Carter

Carter recently had his 2 month check up!  Boy, is he a big BOY!  Keep in mind, Carter was 8lbs 6oz at birth and 21 1/2 inches long.  Well, he now weights 14lbs 6oz (92%) and is 25 1/2 inches long (93%)!  He is as big as a 4 month old!  But, Dr. Roads said that there is nothing to worry about because his weight is proportionate to his height!

He still has the sweetest demeanor.  I know he is mine, but I just can't get over how sweet he is!  The newest tricks in our household are smiling and cooing.  I love it!  Also, he has slept through the night a few times....YAY!  But, other nights, he is only getting up 1 time!  I can't complain about that too much!  Here are a few pictures of our sweet boy!

B.U.N.C.O.

Every year my Bunco group has a Christmas Progressive Dinner.  It is always a fabulous and fun time!  For those of you that don't know what that is...we go to a different house for each meal (1-appetizers / salads, 2-main course, 3-dessert / dirty Santa).  It is always such a great festive time, and the one thing I look forward to each Christmas season.  This year was no exception.  The food was great and the company even better!  Here is a group shot of the girls...missing just a few!
I am absoulutely in love with our Christmas Card / Announcement for Carter!  We did a 5x7 double sided card!  For some reason...I can't get the front to load (our Christmas Card)...but here is our sweet boy's announcement!

Just for fun :)

Carter's first road trip & a visit with Santa

This past weekend, we headed to VA with my Dad to see my Aunt Katie get married.  We had a great time.  The kids did amazing...considering it was a 8 (well, 10) hour car ride!  We left Friday and came home Monday.  The wedding was at a great little winery right outside of Charlottesville, VA!  I was so thrilled that my side of the family got the opportunity to meet both kiddos!

Also, today, we had brunch at the Country Club and the kids were able to visit with Santa.  It was a very personal experience, which was great for Chloe.  Right before she left his side, she whispered to him what she wanted for Christmas.  I love how magical Christmas is to her...I hope she continues to believe for a very long time!  Thanks Grandy and Jenks for taking us!

First Road Trip--December 10th.
This is what he did the entire time (both ways)!

Grauntie (my Nanny for the weekend) and the kids...she just adores them!

Connor and Eddie, my Cousins

So beautiful--Connor, Emma, & Eddie

Carter was already all bundled up...so just the 3 of us!

Carter's Baby Dedication

On December 5th, Carter was dedicated at Grace Community Church.  Such a special time.  I was so glad to have everyone there with us, and I'm looking forward to him growing up there...Chloe absolutely loves it so I hope he shares her same enthusiasm!  Here are a few pictures....

Katie, a friend from high school, also had her baby boy, Kyle, dedicated.  The boys are just a few days apart.

Carter and I went to a baby shower later that afternoon.  This is his buddy Alec...they are 2 days apart!

Funny

The other day we were getting our day started and I had the news on...well, the weather man was on giving us the scoop on what to expect that day (rain)....not too long after that, Chloe says:

"Mom, Jesus put in my heart that it is going to rain today!"

....oh, I guess that had nothing to do with what the weather man said! :)

Loving on Baby Carter

Chloe and Ryann on Saturday--our Thanksgiving Part 2

The "Rockets"

Sunday night we headed to Nashville to see the "Rockets"....that is what Chloe thought anyway!  We had tickets to see the Rockettes at the Grand Ole Opry with the Beech Family!  The girls absolutely loved every second of it!  They were so cute...asking questions every time Santa came out!  I have been before but it was even better seeing it with my sweet girl!  We bought our tickets prior to Blake breaking his foot...poor guy...he had to hop up and down several flights of stairs!  Afterwards, we headed to Maggianos to eat dinner--YUM!

Happy Turkey Day

We spent this Thanksgiving eating tons of great food with Grandy and Jenks & then we headed to Papa's house!  Chloe had spent the night with Birdie...when we picked her up, she was dressed up so cute and her hair was curled!  So precious!  Carter enjoyed the day as well..no turkey for him, but he had plenty of milk to keep him happy!  Blake did okay considering the situation!  All in all, it was a great day!  I'm looking forward to the next month of fun Holiday activities!
