Fill in the Blank Friday & Recipe

1.  When I wake up in the morning, the first thing I do is, snooze, snooze, and snooze...and when I finally drag myself out of bed, I race to get showered and then race to get both kiddos ready for school (dressed, beds made, breakfast, lunches made, etc)!  Mornings are crazy around our house!

2.   I can hardly wait for   all the fun things we have planned this summer-Chloe's dance recital, annual lake trip with friends, St. Louis with the Bestie, Lake Tahoe, D.C.!  Can't wait!

3.  The quickest way to my heart is    any kind of chocolate     because   I'm a female...enough said!

4. A little known fact about me is that    I fell directly on the back of my head ice skating with Blake on our first date...we were in the 10th grade!  Had the cut been about 1 mm deeper, I would have needed to shave a spot on my head and had it stapled...ahhh!  It was my first and only experience getting a CAT scan...scary! To this day, I won't ice skate or even roller skate for that matter. Too risky!  I attribute that accident to my migraine problem now!

5. The best part about my job is    I get to work with the 2 most fabulous God fearing women I know...they not only are fun to be around 8 hours out of the day, but have helped me to navigate my Faith Walk and I couldn't be more blessed to call them my co-workers and friends!

6. Something I just couldn't live without is    black eye liner, MAC blush and my newest addiction--my iPhone 4s (its my life line, camera, etc).

7.  Something useful that I wish I knew how to do is   be crafty.  I have so many friends that can whip up a toddler dress, door wreath, hair bow, etc.  I could save us so much money if I could figure out how to hot glue gun some stuff!

Photo Dump....Life Lived thru my iPhone

Well, as always lots of happenings at the Jenkins House.  We attended several birthday party's this past weekend, ate a wet dinner downtown with fabulous friends {thanks to the rain storm during Rivers & Spires}, and got to see a sweet movie {The Lucky One-Go see it}.

Here are a few snapshots taken with my phone {thankful for the quickness of the iPhone 4s camera so I can snap these 2 crazy kids of mine in all their glory}!!

Alec's 4th Birthday @  Chick Fil A
Chloe & Addison...2 good buddies!

Ava Claire turns 1!
Sweet Owl Birthday Theme!

Sunday we attended Cross Street Live for the first time!
Chloe was thrilled...even more exciting...we got to sit with her buddy Maddox from school!
Don't know what Cross Street Live is?  It's an awesome hour long program put on once a month for school age kids...one more way Grace Community Church is showing kids what God is all about!

Can't leave out my boy...here are a few snapshots taken by me...and others

A sweet party-goer at Ava Claire's party posted this picture to her Instagram...
Thanks for snapping this pic Ella :)
Carter kept standing at the door when she was out there...
already a ladies man!

Amanda posted this sweet picture of Carter on Instagram last night.
He was the newest member of our Group...
well, at least until his 7pm bed time.
He wasn't so keen on so many people being at the house.
He thought every one of them was a babysitter!

Blake & I are currently part of an amazing community group.
How thankful am I for these wonderful couples?
Words couldn't express it.
Blake & I are both getting so much from the study we are doing about our Marriage and how important it is to put God first!

We hosted our group yesterday...in order to get ready for some outside grilling, the kids helped me plant some flowers!  Chloe was excited to use her new gardening tools {thanks Grandy}!

Random photo, but Blake made some amazing burgers earlier this week...
mine was a Blue Cheese hamburger {hamburger courtesy of Kroger; mad grilling skills thanks to Blake}

Happy "almost" Friday!

Q & U Wedding

Today Chloe had a very special program at school.
We were cordially invited to the Wedding of Q & U.
The Girls were the Queens & the Boys were the Quarterbacks.
The sweet Pre-K kids were the Flowergirls / boys and they threw out Quarters.
Chloe's Quarterback was named Jason...he smiled sweetly....sadly, Chloe scowled during the ceremony...
I guess she isn't big on arranged marriages!
The Girls were all set in their wedding dresses, veils, and bouquets & the boys had their boutineers!
{they really thought of everything}

{walking down the aisle}
{saying their "I do's"}
{walking through the bubble tunnel}
{both Kindergarten classes}
{family photo ops}
{post Wedding lunch with Mamma}

********
Carter is obsessed with Chloe's doll strollers...
no, I'm not proud that this is his toy of choice, but...
he doesn't know the difference quite yet so I am going with it!
Last night, Chloe sat in it and he decided to take her on a stroll around the house.
He is quite a strong boy!

This & That

I've been quite the blog slacker lately.  So, I thought I would update a few of the happenings around our house through pictures!

Last Friday, Blake went over to a buddies house to hang out so I packed the kids up and headed to Ashland City to hang out with Brittnye and her family.  We enjoyed a yummy dinner of BBQ chicken and all the fixins'! Yum!  We decided to stick the boys in the tub together.  We thought it would be a great idea...not so much!  This is what they both did the entire time....

We quickly pulled them out and put them to sleep!

We recently got some new patio furniture!  We have really enjoyed it...PLUS the weather has been so nice.  We have been outside almost every single night!

{they have thoroughly enjoyed hanging out inside of this storage box}

{we brought out Chloe's trampoline.  She decided to have a party...streamers, party blowers and all}

{Uncle Scottie stopped by over the weekend and flew a kite with the kids}

Saturday night, we attended Cheers for Charity.  It was SO MUCH FUN!  This was Junior Auxiliary's first year hosting this event.  I do hope that JA continues to do this event every year...I see great potential!  These are the fun party favors we got to bring home!  We definitely enjoyed tasting the different wines!

I listen to Pandora every morning while I get ready.  Lately, my favorite station has been "Summer Hits of the 90s."  You should definitely check it out.
Much to my surprise, this song came on the other morning....

Wouldn't you know...there are more lyrics than I thought.  It's an actual song...I thought it was just the theme song to the show!

I'm in the process of reading "Power of a Praying Wife"...the book opens with this quote:

I would highly recommend it!

Finally, I've been a bit under the weather the last few days...so much so, I had to leave work yesterday.  Thankfully, my Mom brought me some Potato Soup from Rafferty's.  It definitely hit the spot, even though I really couldn't taste it! :(

Chloe had a field trip to the Nashville Children's Theater today to see "Click, Clack, Moo."  I wasn't able to go with her today, but a sweet Mom {Thanks Stacey}sent me a photo of my girl!

I'm looking forward to a jam packed weekend of birthday parties and Rivers & Spires festivities!

Yesterday, Blake wasn't feeling to hot so I took a stroll with the kids to get them out of the house for a bit.
You can't really tell, but Chloe was walking her baby and taking a very important phone call on her flip phone!

I also noticed that these flowers bloomed finally.
I am no green thumb...by the grace of God, they come back every year!
Pretty, huh?
