Just keep swimming....

Today, I got to visit The Settlement to watch sweet Chloe during swimming lessons.  It was such a treat.  She loves showing us what she can do!  They floated, dove down for rings, and went from one end of the pool to the other (well, in the 3ft area).  Here are a few pictures!  By the way, this is one of the MANY reasons I love The Settlement!

Tubes & Such

Monday night Carter got to meet his great-grandparents (GiGi & Papaw).  Chloe absolutely adores them...so much so that she cries for them on a weekly basis!  They live in Florida and don't make it to TN very often so we are so thankful that they are here.  Gigi had to have a 'conference' or 2 with Carter :)  And Chloe has loved getting to visit with them!
Wednesday, Carter finally had his tube surgery!  We went in at 630 for a 730 apt.  Literally, they took our sweet boy back, I sat down to take a short survey, & Dr. Brandon was already walking out saying he was in recovery! Quick!  All went well.  It tore Blake & I to pieces going to the recovery area as he was extremely upset (rightfully so...he just had his ear drums cut open).  He was hungry, disoriented from surgery, and in pain.  We took him home right away and he fell fast asleep.  When he woke up, he was back to normal...happy & a bit hungry.  Dr. Brandon said that he had a bad infection behind his left ear drum and fluid behind the right....hoping this means we won't be on antibiotics every other week!  Thanks for all the prayers for our sweet boy!
He was the happiest kid in the triage area!
Chloe recently had a sleep over with her buddy Addison.  They had a BIG time hanging out & catching fire flies!  Here are a few pictures!
The girls being silly & catching fire flies...Chloe just got done saying she felt 'buggy'

Sweet friends!

An eventful weekend

Where to start?  Friday, Chloe & I headed to Laura's house for a hair cut.  Not for me....but for my sweet girl that had hair almost down to her bottom (probably exaggerating a bit).  It was time.  Laura did me proud.  Chloe walked out of there with a sweet little bob.  She cut 4 1/2 inches off.  I almost shed a tear.
Before the cut
During...
After!  Lovin' it!
Afterwards, we all headed to the fair.  It was an experience to say the least.  Chloe loved every second of it.  She rode several rides (more than once).  Her friend from school was there too so they got to spend some girl time together!  Blake and I enjoyed watching her.  It is amazing how big she is and how independent she has become.

Chloe & Addalyn
Saturday morning, Casey & I had big plans to take the kids to the water park.  Well, when we woke up the sky was about to open up so we decided to head to Jump Zone in the rain versus our original choice!  It was fun.  Jump Zone on a Saturday is nuts...but Chloe had fun running around for a bit.  Chandler wasn't quite into it just yet, but neither was Chloe at that age.  I bet next time she goes she will be all over the place just like Chloe!  Afterwards, we ate lunch with Brittnye at Chloe's favorite spot--Cracker Barrel!

KK & Chloe going down the slide
In attempts to keep him happy, I let him bang the spoon.  It was out of pure desperation!

Saturday night, we grilled out at Susan & Steve's house for Lauren's 21st birthday (my best friend's little sister)...it was a good time (it always is :))!  After we ate, Susan & Steve graciously offered to keep the kiddos so we could celebrate the big day with Lauren!  We had a great time!  Thanks to the Austin's for keeping our sweet babies!

Father's Day started out with us lounging around.  Blake had to work 6 days straight last week so he was beat!  When he woke up, Chloe showed him his treats & we ate a nutritious breakfast of Burger King (yum)!  After nap time, we headed to dinner with my dad (Papa) at Ruby Tuesdays.  It was great getting to spend some time with him!  Carter was a mess.  He is all over the place and into everything.  Eating out with him is going to be interesting from here on out.  He is all boy.  I'm thankful for my sweet girl who sits quietly (most of the time) and colors!
Take 1
Take 2

Last night, Chloe spent the night with her buddy Addison. They went to Gymnastics Camp today.  I picked her up this afternoon and she was WORN OUT!  I love that she loves to do those kind of things....and I'm also thankful that she has a friend that does it all with her!

A little late....

I finally snagged a few pictures from Flying High 2011. Thanks Mary! I, sadly, didn't take any pictures...not sure what I was thinking. So I don't have one of Blake & I...but he was looking mighty handsome before we both were extremely sweaty (yuck)! It was about 5,000 degrees that day...but, fun nonetheless! It was held out in the Montgomery Central area on a beautiful property! The food was great & the company even better! This is one event I look forward to every year!

Carter came to work with me after his apt for a short bit.  Aunt Amanda :) babysat while I got some work done!

Ch-Ch-Ch-Chattanooga!

This past weekend, Brittnye and I packed up all 3 kids and headed to Chattanooga.  It was fun.  We really didn't have a big plan.  Hoped to get to the Aquarium and maybe the Children's Museum.  The Aquarium ended up taking a tad longer than I planned so we will have to make a trip back to check out the Museum and the Chugga-Chugga-Choo Choo (Chatanooga Choo Choo)...as Chloe would call it!

1*Just arriving @ the Aquarium
2*wooden alligator in gift shop (PLUS showing off her new pet turtle she named Butterfly)
3*Chloe & Carter taking in the fish on the River Journey side
Carter hung out in his new stroller most of the trip...side bar--I LOVE my new Combi stroller.  Best purchase in a long time!  Here is what is funny, he kept either one or both of his feet propped up on the arm rest the entire time!
After the Aquarium, we ate dinner at Big River Grille.  It had hopes of it being good, but I think I had the stomach bug so I did not partake in much eating most of the day.  I did enjoy a bite of ice cream at Ben and Jerry's though.  It was delicious.  After that we hit the indoor pool for a bit.
Oh, very random.  At 5 o'clock in the morning a loud alarm went off in our room along with a flashing light.  The announcement that was made said for us to evacuate our room promptly and take the stairs.  So we headed out to the curb with 3 sleepy babies.  To only have to turn around 5 minutes later...it was a false alarm.  Geez...so we tried to get 3 kids back to sleep {FUN TIMES}
When we got home, Blake took Chloe to the pool to spend some time with her.  Carter and I laid down.  He fell asleep until almost 7pm.  He woke up long enough to eat and went right back to sleep.  He was tuckered out...so was I!
--------------------------------------------------------
Monday, we had a fun visitor at work.
Fun times with the co-workers
Apparently, Big Foot was the one that started it all!  It is a Ford Ranger XLT!  Crazy how massive it is!
-------------------------------------------
Chloe loves nothing more than getting mail.  Everyday after work, I pull up to the mailbox and she always asks "is there anything for me?"  Well, yesterday, she indeed had a package.  A sweet friend sent Chloe this adorable outfit.  What is even funnier...her daughter has the exact same initials as Chloe and is a tad older.  So this is the 2nd sweet outfit she has passed on to us!  It will be adorable for school next year!  Thanks a million Jennie Beth!

So what's going on with the boy lately?

Well, if you must know, he is officially a sitter....
and he is enjoying trying to hold his bottle by himself (his one prized possession in life...I think)!

Oh, and the newest trick...he is just about ready to take off and crawl.  Today, this proud Mama got to see him rock back and forth on all fours!  And I was OH SO PROUD!
Look at that belly :)
This is one excited Big Sister!

Sweet Summertime

Last night, we headed to Adrienne & Travis' house for some slip-n-slide fun!  The girls loved it.  We ate pizza and hung out for a bit.  As you can see below, Carter was tuckered out from all the fun!
They were posing if you can't tell!
:)

Enjoying the Sunshine!

A whole lot of life to pack into 1 post!

I've fallen behind on my blogging duties!  Quite a bit has been going on at the Jenkins house over the last few weeks!

First, Blake set up a Saturday-funday for us!  It has been quite a while since we have spent an entire day by ourselves with no kiddos, no family, no friends...just us!  It was nice.  We started out at Eden Day Spa for a relaxing couples massage {oh yeah}!  We ran home, got cleaned up & headed to Nashville for a bite of lunch.  Coincidentally, my Mom was up there as well so we all ate at Cantina Laredo in the Gulch {YUM}!!  Did a bit of shopping at Urban Outfitters and then headed to the BIG part of our date!
Dinner & a Show on the General Jackson

I was so excited!  Blake has been on before, but I had never...I was so proud of him for planning a fun filled day!  All day he kept asking me to guess where we were going...I never in a million years would have guessed this!  Good times :)
Getting ready to board!
The boat was beautiful...so much history.  They talked quite a bit about the flood & the inner workings of the boat itself.  Blake & I took a VIP tour with a few others so we got a great look at the boat without a ton of people around.  We also got to meet the Captain!
Here are a few other pictures from the day...

The show we watched after dinner was "Country USA"....I have to say, I had low expectations for the show but it turned out to be GREAT!  Blake & I knew the majority of the songs!  Thanks to Grandy & Jenks / KK & Scottie for watching the kiddos so we could have a fabulous night!

Memorial Day & Carter's First Time Swimming

Blake & I had to work on Memorial Day, but we didn't want to waste the day!  After work, we picked up the kiddos and headed to Brittnye's Mom's house to do some grilling and swimming!  Chloe was quick to jump in!  Carter, in his laid back way, took it all in stride!  He just hung back and enjoyed the water!  I have a feeling he will love being in the pool & lake this summer!
Let me just say that this bathing suit is a 6-12 month size...we had to squeeze it on his chunky body...he looked so cute!

I hope your Memorial Day was just as fun!
