Weekend Wrap-Up

Friday night, Chloe had her Jr. Cheerleader performance during the CA 1/2 time!
It was so cute.
All the girls did so great.
I was especially proud for Chloe because she actually did the moves, kept up, and really looked like she was having fun!
We bolted right after her performance because the sweet brother was kind of over it...
this weekend is Homecoming so we are looking forward to that game as well!
{You can see Chloe...she's the one with the big yellow bow!!}

{Lily, Rebecca, Chloe}

{Carter was trying to get in on the action too}

--------------------

Saturday, I took the kids to Liberty Park at the new Clarksville Marina--we went w/ Brittnye & Austin.
The Park is amazing...very impressed with what Clarksville has done!
We will be out there often...oh, and its where Carter's birthday will be as well!
{she was being an excellent big sister...she took him all over the park and made sure he was okay the whole time}

--------------------

Sunday, we went to the Titans Game w/ our co-worker Aaron & his wife.
We couldn't of asked for more beautiful weather.
{loved my outfit for the day}

{thanks to the new update on my iPhone...I was able to take this cool Panoramic Pic}

--------------------

This week at CA is Spirit Week...the big Homecoming Game is on Friday & Chloe is thrilled!
Every day has a different theme.

Monday: Nerd Day

{I thought these glasses were just precious on her}

Tuesday: Twin Day
{Mrs. Kemmer's whole class is wearing gray shirts & jeans today}
Happy Tuesday!

What I'm Lovin' Wednesday

What am I Lovin' today?
The fact that I'm hammering out 2 Blog Posts in one day--superstar!

Here are a few things I'm Lovin' today:

I'm Lovin' the fun package I got in the mail a few days ago...lots of Kelly's Kids goodness!
A few dresses for Chloe & some super preppy duds for Carter!
In Love!

I'm Lovin' being a Mom to this crazy, wild, mischievous boy...
case in point:
Wild does not even really sum up his behavior lately.
Terrible 2's..."Hello!!"
I never experienced this with Chloe so I'm in new territory as a parent!
For memory purposes...we ate at Old Chicago on Monday...well, I stuffed my food down my throat so that I could get something in my stomach because I was too busy try to occupy and distract my almost 2 year old.  He was standing up, pulling on the blinds, flinging ranch dressing, poking the man sitting behind us...the list could go on and on!

I'm Lovin' school picture day at Clarksville Academy!
Here is the adorable outfit Chloe wore...
She hated it... :(
We fought hard yesterday morning...but, I promised she could pick out her own outfit today.
Win-Win as far as I'm concerned!

Finally, I'm Lovin' party planning for 2 special boys...
here's a sneak peak of the invite thanks to my super talented friend, Holly!
We are doing a double party with our Buddy, Anderson, this year!
Can't wait!

What are you Lovin' today?

What I'm Lovin' Wednesday

Well, I think I missed my actual link up opportunity, but I'm going to share
What I'm Lovin' Today....Anyway!

I'm' Lovin' that we got to celebrate Chloe's 6th year of life not once, but twice.
First {on her actual birthday} we ate a taco salad dinner w/ Grandy & Jenks, KK & Chandler!
Chloe got to open lots of fun treats and we enjoyed ourselves with a yummy cookie cake!

{Chloe sporting her new cross-over purse from GG & Papaw / Sweet Cousins being silly}

{Excited for her cookie cake}

I'm Lovin' spending time with my High School girlfriends.
We don't get together nearly enough, but when we do its always a great time!

Saturday was a Birthday Party kind of day!
Even though I hate to say it, I'm Lovin' Chuck E Cheese...
Chloe decided a while ago that she wanted her birthday there...who am I to argue?
Lots of Pros:
it was her choice / easy-peasy for me...no cleaning up, setting up, or tearing down / the kids could run wild without me having to follow their every move
Chloe had a great time!
Thanks to everyone that came to celebrate with her.
Here is the party in pictures...get ready!

{this was the gift that we, along with my Mom & Dad, gave Chloe...a sweet little vanity that is already piled with all her make up and jewelry}
{the cake was amazing...it was HUGE and the rainbow insides were a fun surprise for the kiddos}
Fun times had by all!

Saturday night, we headed to Addison's Birthday party.
Chloe & Addison are 1 day apart...her Mom, Adrienne, and I were actually in the hospital together.
Adrienne and I have been friends since our college days!
Addison had a beautiful day to celebrate outside...the kids had a blast!

{The cutest 6 year old I know!}
{Carter thoroughly enjoyed playing in the dirt}
{and blowing bubbles}

Happy Wednesday!
I'm home with a sick little girl today...something I'm NOT Lovin'!!

Show & Tell Monday: New Link Up

I love a link up...so here's a new one that is right up my alley!
Show & Tell Monday: Let's Talk Babies

You can Link Up with Becky HERE

1. Tell us your favorite baby names? Aside from your own babies, if you have some :)
Before I knew I was done have babies, I always had a running list of names that I wanted to use.  I kept it on a crusty old yellow post it in the back of my planner.  Every time I would hear a unique name, I would jot it down {especially "C" names..as all the kiddos in our family have names that start with "C"}!  Here are some of my favorites:
Of course, Chloe--this was always our first pick for a girl name...hands down.  We wavered on the middle name some, but ultimately fell in love with Elizabeth...it's super traditional PLUS a strong family name on both sides!
Carter--this was originally on my list as a girl name...but, after some strong arming once we found out we were having a boy, it won out!
A few other favorites:
Carson, Harper, Jackson, Ellie, Blake {the husbands name...I would love to use it for a girl}
2. Show me your "dream" nursery {can be your baby's nursery or one that you love}
Well, I don't do too much day dreaming about nursery's anymore {thankful I had my last one before PINTEREST...I would have been on there all day every day if not}...but, I am still pretty in love with Carter's room.  I had a pretty clear idea on what I wanted to do...I think it came out very cute!  The main 2 things I LOVE: his bedding & his decal {thanks to Etsy}!
3. How many children would you like to have? How far apart?
I knew that I wanted to have 2. I was pretty dead set on that because I am an only child!  In the perfect world and in my perfect fantasy, the perfect distance apart was 2 years.  But, that quickly changed when I had a very spirited 18 month old on my hands...there was no way I wanted to even think about being pregnant at that time...so the 2 year spread quickly vanished.  My kids are 4 years apart...it is more than perfect for us!  Chloe was old enough to understand what was going on and she instantly went into Mommy-Mode when Carter arrived!  I wouldn't change a thing about them being 4 years apart...at least that is what works for us!
4. Tell us what you think the importance of parenting is?
Oh my...what isn't important about parenting?  You are molding a child into who they will be. That is a HUGE responsibly...one that is almost too much for me to wrap my mind around.  I am certainly not perfect and I am definitely not the perfect parent, but I think teaching them how to be God loving, kind, giving, gracious, hard working, understanding, non-judgmental, and caring would be a great start.  I always look to parents that have grown children {that are productive citizens mind you} and ask what the secret is...if any of you know it, PLEASE SHARE!
5. Show us your favorite newborn photo {can be your children or random}
Well, of course, I have to share 2 of my favorite new born photos...
Carter 10 days old
Chloe 9 days old
6.  Tell us some things you promise to never do as a parent {and if you are a parent, did you stick to it}
Well the first thing that comes to mind is...I promised myself from the start that I would never give my kids candy...well, that went out the window the first time I traveled with an 11 month old!  I stuffed her full of dum-dums and smarties...you know what, it worked!  Also, I'm the WORST about sticking to a discipline plan...I just have a hard time being consistent {which I know is key}...would love any advice in that department... especially with an active and mischievous boy living under my roof now!
