3 Year Well Check Up

Chloe had her 3 year check up this morning. She did great. I'm so happy that she has no qualms with going to the doctor / dentist....especially because she has been to the dentist so many times over the last 3 years. Her Pediatrician, Dr. Roads, said she is growing great! She is 38 inches tall (70th percentile) and 31 lbs. (50th percentile). She is tall and lean! Yay! Hopefully that will be the way she stays!!! She talked Dr. Roads head off today, which was no surprise to me. He said she seems very smart and very advanced for her age (in regards to her speech). She is not 100% on her letters yet, but Dr. Roads said that most kids learn them from the age of 3-5...so no worries there! All in all, Blake and I have a very healthy little girl on our hands! Right before we left, she got her flu shot. Not too much drama (thankfully). She cried out for about 5 seconds and then got over it once she noticed the metallic band aid the Nurse used! Here she is being silly....

YeHaw!!! Hillbilly Ball!!!

Last Saturday, Junior Auxiliary of Clarksville (an organization that I'm apart of) put on our annual Hillbilly Ball! It was a blast. Abby and Leslie did a fabulous job! You can't complain when you have great people, great food, good spirits, and good music!! Here are a few pictures from the evening!

The Sweetest Thing

We had a cookout last weekend with friends. It was so fun. We had lots of kiddies running around all night! Chloe and Jack were the last 2 kids left. Around 10:30 or so (way past their bed time), we decided to lay them down to watch CARS (or Lightening McQueen as Chloe would say)! Anyway, we laid them down in vain not thinking that they would really go to sleep...not 20 minutes later, we peeked in and this is what we saw! Truly the sweetest thing!

Wanna see some great pictures?

I have received the proofs from Chloe's 3 year Session with Lashonda. Lashonda Mcgregor is an amazing photographer that we have had the privilege of using for the last 3 years. She took Chloe's very first pictures when she was 9 days old! She also was the one to take the picture that is used in my header above (Chloe was 8 months old).

To view the pictures, go to www.lashondamcgregor.com Click "Enter," then click "Clients." Our password is CJ-sept09 It is Case Sensitive!

Let me know what you think! I'm so excited about them. Chloe loved every minute of having her picture taken. She has since been asking to go back to have more pictures taken! :)

Adventures in Babysitting!

Last Friday, Chloe and I had the privilege of babysitting sweet Chandler Kate! She was so good. I was excited to see how it would be to have 2 kiddos in the house....definitely manageable. I don't think Chandler is a typical baby girl though. She was so good. Chloe and I got to feed her yummy green beans and 2 bottles. Chloe wanted to hold her the entire time! They both went to sleep right on time too! Perfect!

Sneak Peek of Chloe's 3rd Birthday Pics

Thanks Lauren for the Amazing Pictures! Love each and every one of them! It was a great day that I will forever get to cherish with these pictures! :) You're the best!!

Tiny Dancer!

Here is a quick (and very blurry) video of my Tiny Dancer! As you can see, she follows direction...mostly! She was suppose to be doing heel touches at each dot. Afterwards, I asked her why she didn't do the heel touches....she said "I just like to walk!" Okay, can't argue with that. Plus (again it is blurry and hard to see), at the end she gets a sticker so she was in a hurry to get her prize!

The Zoo

Monday, we decided to take Chloe to the Zoo...yes, we braved the crowd! We had fun. We were only there for a few hours but were able to successfully maneuver through the entire zoo! Chloe also got to ride the carousel 2x's!

Labor Day Weekend

Wow, what a crazy weekend we had. Lots to catch up on:

Last Friday night, I went with Brittnye, Lauren, and Susan to see "Wicked." It was AMAZING! Loved every second of it. I really wanted to read the book prior to watching the play, but the book is huge and I ran out of time. Fun night!

Saturday, we headed to the Strawberry Patch for Addison's 3rd Birthday party. Fun was had by all. Chloe had a fun time playing and coloring!

Sunday, Chloe and I headed to church and then to eat with my Dad, Papa!! This was to celebrate my Birthday and Chloe's birthday! It was fun. Chloe got a yummy ice cream Sunday and the staff sang to her...very sweet.

Sunday night, Grandy and Jenks came over to celebrate Chloe's 'real' birthday...she got a fun paper doll set (not paper though) and cute pjs. Thanks Grandy and Jenks!

Over the last year....

Chloe's birthday is Sunday (tear). She will be 3 years old. I really can't believe it. Here are several pictures from the last year.

To my Bird,
You are no longer a baby but a little girl. I can't believe you are turning 3. Where have the last few years gone. Every second with you has been an amazing treat. You make my life so much more complete. I truly love you more than I can explain or put into words. You are the most gentle and loving person I have ever been privileged to know. I love you Chloe. You are my Sunshine! Happy 3rd birthday!!

Love,
Your Mommy

Family Date

Last night, me, Blake, and Chloe went on a 'family date' to Hananoki! It was great. Truly, we never go by ourselves as a family to eat dinner. It was nice. Blake got off at 5pm for his early night out. We both went to pick up Chloe from school, and then we headed to eat! Chloe absolutely loves Hananoki. If we just mention it, she won't stop talking about it. She did so great. Since it was just the 3 of us, she got to have her own spot to eat. She sat in a booster (which made me sad), she used her chop sticks, she drank the soup out of the little spoon...really, it is just too much for me to talk about--she is getting SO big. Anyway, it was a great night. Our cook was amazing and we were in and out in an hour (kind of unheard of there).

Sneak Peek

Chloe's birthday is coming up (this weekend actually). I decided instead of giving her more 'stuff' that we don't need, I would decorate her room!! It was definitely time for her to move on up to a 'big girl' bed. So, here is a sneak peak at what I have done. I'm not completely finished yet--I have 2 more things that have to be hung up! I'm so excited about it though; it has pretty much come out exactly how I thought it would!

Lake Weekend

Last weekend, we had our annual lake getaway! It was a blast. There were 14 of us total (no kiddos). We went down early Friday afternoon and Blake and I did not get home until Sunday afternoon. A full, fun weekend for sure! Good friends, good food, good times! Also, it was my birthday weekend so that made it extra special! Thanks to everyone for hanging out and celebrating! I appreciate the yummy homemade chocolate cake Brittnye brought and the fun song the girls sang to me too! So special! I love my SFM's!! :)
