I'm an Austin Peay Cheerleader!!!!!

Before...not happy....very tired.
After...at school...ready to show off her "Austin Peay Cheerleader" costume! I think she feels pretty! :)

Want to be Inspired?

Read Katherine Arnold Wolf's Story....very moving!! A small excerpt from her ongoing struggle:

"I went from making pies in my little kitchen to making sticky notes about what day of the week it was and playing UNO with 70 year old men. I went from learning to make the ‘world’s best brownie’ to learning to write my name again. I went from living a happy normal life, to living a nightmare where they kept asking me what year we were in and who was the current president. I went from going on playdates with girlfriends to going to course on “brain injury education”, “cognitive reasoning” and “disability adjustment”. I went from power-walking the hills of Pepperdine to having 4 physical therapists and a walker while I tried to walk one step. I went from wearing a cute outfit every day to wearing adult diapers and hospital gowns. My life changed dramatically in an instant. I put James down for a nap, began making meals for two new mothers and ended up in the hospital. Life is so fragile and so short and can change like you would not believe, in the blink of an eye. Every moment in life is valuable because we all know deep down that the next one could be our last. "--Katherine Wolf

"It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown"

Last night, we decided it would be prime time to carve pumpkins! I stopped at our local Walgreen's and got a kid appropriate carving kit. Right after dinner, we got started. I have to say, it has been YEARS since I have carved a pumpkin. Anyway, I had forgotten about all the fun stuff that comes with it...mostly, the 'guts' inside of the pumpkin. Blake did most of the carving and I did most of the 'gutting.' Chloe pretty much supervised. She colored the stencils with a blue crayon...it was a big help :) At the end of the night, we had 3 boo-tiful pumpkins: a Ghost, a Scary Kitty Cat, and a Skeleton! Fun times!

The beginning stages:

Go Titans Go!

Last night, we had the opportunity to go with Blake's parents to the Titans Vs. Colts Game! We had so much fun! We ate dinner at J. Alexanders (yum) and then headed to the game! I wish the Titans would have brought their "A" Game, but it was still fun to be at the Stadium watching Peyton! I love the energy that you feel when you are at a Pro Game of any kind! It was a late night but well worth it! Thanks Don and Sandy :)

A little trim....

Chloe got a hair cut on Thursday....
We went from this:

And, I could not be happier! She just looks so sweet!! :)

The Toilet

So, last night Chloe and I got home around 7:30pm...needless to say....it was pitch black outside. Anyway, as I was turning into the driveway, I saw a glimmer of something in the middle of my yard. I stopped and put my headlights on it. It appeared to be a toilet. I thought maybe our neighbor did it (he likes to play little jokes on us)....but, I decided (for safety issues and because I'm paranoid) not to go outside and look at said toilet before Blake got home. Well, Blake got home around 8:45...so I followed him outside to check it out. Sure enough...it was a Garnet and Gold toilet with a notebook inside! Turns out the Pikes at APSU are doing a fundraiser to clean up their back yard area (fire pit, etc). Each brother's house that it ends up at can pay a small fee to have it picked up and put in another brother's yard....I thought it was pretty clever. I have to say, on a side note, that I'm happy to see this year's pledge class being proactive! So....any Pikes or Pike wives's that read this--BEWARE--you may come home to a toilet in your yard too! :)

What a fun weekend!

Well, last weekend, we did not have anything planned....that is a first might I add! So, Friday night Chloe and I baby sat Chandler (Yay)! It was Casey and Scott's 5 year anniversary! So, while they enjoyed a yummy dinner...Chandler hung out with Auntie Frannie and Cousin Chloe and dined on peas! MMMMM!!! We always love having her over to play! :)

Saturday was another day to chill...we honestly did nothing all day, which was great! We decided (kind of last minute) to head to the Shriner's Circus at 7:30pm! It was great...it was even better that we had free tickets! At first, Chloe was terrified by the Clowns. Who could blame her? They are kind of scary when you get down to it! By the end of the night she was a-okay with them! She clapped and danced and smiled the entire time! Here are a few pictures from the night! It was a blast. The only down side is that we did not get home until 11:30pm...we were pooped!
Can't you feel her excitement!?!
Sunday, we decided to go to the Pumpkin Patch with several of our friends! Of course, Chloe had a big time! It was kind of a gloomy day, but the kids could have cared less! We didn't buy any pumpkins so we will have to make another trip to pick a few up! Here are a few pictures:
