Carvin' Pumpkins

So, there is a contest at Clarksville Academy today.

Chloe's Daddy was very excited to partake!

There is $20 worth of tickets to the Fall Festival on the line.

Here is the outcome...the most amazing pumpkin we have carved at the Jenkins Household yet...
I know, I know.  It isn't a masterpiece by any means, but we were pretty excited.  It is suppose to be a cougar (really it's a cat, but who can tell :)) with CA to add some extra school spirit!  I think she has a pretty good shot at winning her age bracket (K-2nd)!

Chloe was pretty excited about getting all the 'guts' out of the pumpkin and helping us carve!

My Little Man

Last night was a pretty important milestone for this Momma.  Carter had his first hair cut.  {TEAR}

I think this was so bittersweet for me because he actually had sweet baby boy curls...and who wants to cut those off.  But, it was time.  His hair was so long!  We met with our favorite stylist, Laura, and crossed our fingers that he would sit still!  Wouldn't you know it, he was perfect!  He sat so still...I think he was a little confused as to what was going on!  Here are a few before and after shots of my sweet boy!

Bye Bye Curls.

Hello Little Man.

What can I say, Mary is the sweetest real life friend anyone can have!  Take a glimpse at her sweet blog and you will see exactly what I'm talking about...she is a jet-setter, hard worker, loving mom & wife...see for yourself!

3. Brooke @ 310 grae place
Brooke has the sweetest 2 little boys you will ever see...I love reading her blog for the adventures her family takes and seeing all the fun crafts and ideas she comes up with!  You will love all the inspiration you get as well!

3. Wendy @ 810 Place
Wendy is actually Brooke's sister (see #4)!  They are both equally amazing women!  Wendy's blog takes you on adventures all over the country...I love vicariously living through her fun travels!  She also shares fun recipes, family fun ideas, and much more!  You will love taking the journey with her & her hubby!

Wanna meet a hard working Mom that crafts and really does it all...they even have a farm!  Shelby is your girl!  Shelby has a tender heart and her baby girl with her red curls will just melt your heart!

Check out these lovely ladies and give them some love!
Thanks again Amanda for the shout out!

Gettin' Down on the Farm

We took advantage of our free Sunday afternoon to take the kids to Honeysuckle Hills Farm in Springfield!  I absolutely love this pumpkin patch.  It is by far my favorite out of the many in our area!  We got there late afternoon so we only had about 2 hours to do all the fun activities!  Some of the highlights were seeing the Pig Races, watching them launch pumpkins from a big cannon, digging for jewels, taking a train ride around the property, and of course pumpkin' pickin!  I think the kids had a good time!   This is my favorite time of year because our weekends are packed with fun seasonal activities...lots of Halloween fun this weekend as well!

Fall Break Fun

We weren't able to do much during Chloe's Fall Break a few weeks ago...but, we did take advantage of one of the days and ventured to the Adventure Science Center in Nashville.  I think both Blake and I have been there...but it was when we were in elementary school (way to long ago)!  It was a blast.  Chloe loved it!  We loved having some one on one time with just our girl.  We also got to eat lunch at our favorite spot--P.F. Changs!  Yum!  Here are a few pictures from our day!

A few other pictures...
1-A 'new' hair do' I tried on Chloe...work in progress.
2-I took this picture on Carter's birthday...I thought this might be one of his last bottles...well, we are still working on breaking that!

Carter turns 1...Sock Monkey Style!

Saturday afternoon was the perfect day for a party.  Carter celebrated his 1st birthday Sock Monkey Style!  I couldn't be happier with the decor and the laid back atmosphere of the party!  Thanks to those that helped us celebrate our sweet boy!  Get ready for picture over load...you've been warned!
Thanks to Holly Winchell for making the adorable shirt and dress for the kiddos!  She does great work!  Oh, she is also responsible for all things sock monkey for the party!
I loved how this table turned out!  So festive!

I have loved every last second of the past year.  Carter, you have brought all 3 of us such joy!   You have the sweetest spirit!  We love you!  Happy Birthday Sweet Boy!

Best of Clarksville & Tickle Me Pink

Well, I'm happy to report that Jenkins and Wynne can proudly say that we are the "Best Place to Buy a Vehicle" in Clarksville for the 11th year!  What an amazing honor!  What I love about this award beyond the fact that this event supports the March of Dimes, is that it is voted on by our community / customers!  Thank you to everyone that came out and voted!

Thanks to those that came out to help work the crowd!

Earlier that day, Amanda & I went to an event at the Country Club called Tickle Me Pink.  This event was put on to help support the ABC Program at the Clarksville YMCA.  I had no idea this program existed...it is a 16 week program that is offered FREE to women who have had breast cancer!  I believe they were able to raise a ton of money to help support this program!  This was the 1st year for this fundraiser, but I for see many more in the years to come!  I hope that the Women at the Wheel can take part again next year!
