I actually created something....

Have you ever seen those pillow case dresses? Well, they are adorable, and people charge a fortune for them. I decided (after seeing Amy T. create some for sweet Lilly), that I would give it a go. She gave me some guidance, and I did a little research online. Well, I whipped one out last night. I have to say, I think it came out pretty cute. I rushed a little because I wanted to get it done before Blake came home. I put it on her after her bath with cute brown leggings...I am so proud of myself. I bought some other cute Black and White fabric with hot pink ribbon. I plan to make it this weekend! We will see. Here is Chloe modeling her new dress for me....she is just so sassy! :)
The fabric is cute paisley with brown / pink polka dot ribbon.
As I get better, I will figure out how to add more detail..work in progress.

Bath Time Fun

Sometimes as a treat I let Chloe take a bath in the BIG TUB, which is our jacuzzi tub in our bathroom. I think it just makes her feel big! Here are a few fun pictures and a little video from last night.

Getting Into Trouble...

I thought Chloe had gotten in trouble at school yesterday...so I asked her. This is what she said!!! I can just eat her up (I know I am biased) :)

Pee Pee and Let's Go Peay

Last weekend, I attempted to start the Potty Training "THING" again...it is certainly frustrating. Well, Chloe decided to go along with it for a second. I asked her to sit down on the potty with her big girl panties. I put in Little Einsteins so she could be a little preoccupied. 45 minutes later, she was still sitting on the potty watching TV without peeing. She has some crazy ability to hold it. Finally, after I kind of gave up on the idea for the moment....she said "Mommy I peed." I took a look and sure enough she did! What a big girl! Here is a picture of the moment! **Kind of gross I know, but Kate (on Jon and Kate Plus 8) took a picture of the kids when they went #2...way more disgusting**

That night, we went to the APSU game! Chloe loves them so much. She talks about her Uncle Scotty and Basketball almost daily. Maybe we have a future BBall player on our hands...who knows! The good thing is that Scotty can help with Basketball and KK can help with Cheerleading...we are covered on both sides! Here is a picture of Chloe in her APSU dress that Grandy made her for her birthday...so cute! We ate at Hananoki for dinner before heading to the game! Fun times!

This is what it has come to....

Last night, I finally decided to try something extreme (well, I think it is extreme) to break Chloe's thumb sucking. I sewed socks onto one of her old night shirts. The funny thing is that while I was doing it, she kept saying "Chloe's Gloves!!..." She seemed kind of excited. I thought, for that brief moment, that it might actually work. Well, Blake and I took her to her room (I needed back up in case this back fired) and started the night time routine. I took her clothes off and put on her new and improved night shirt.

As you can imagine, she hated it. She screamed bloody murder. I thought..."I just need to stick this out for 3 nights....everything can be broken in 3 nights (right?)."

Well, after about 25 minutes of screaming, she just stopped. I thought she had just given up and fallen asleep. I snuck in to her room to make sure she was okay....and to my horror....she was sucking on her thumb through the sock. She managed to form the sock so that she could get her thumb in her mouth. I could not believe it.

I am really at a loss as to what to do about this thumb sucking. Someone suggested soap. I might try that. I just feel like I am torturing her....but really, this is for her own good. Any suggestions are welcomed!

Here is one of her doing make up last night....I just love her :)

God or Enfamil?

Okay, I am not sure if it is God trying to tell me something or the good ole' people at Enfamil...but, over the last two days, I have received both a coupon for formula and a free can of formula in the mail. One thing that I do know is that I'm not pregnant....that is to be announced sometime in the near future (maybe...we'll see). Oh wait, that sounds like I am pregnant but not telling...totally not the case...we are thinking maybe sometime in the future (just to clarify)....But, I find it so strange that out of the blue I have started receiving baby stuff in the mail. A few weeks ago, I got a coupon from Target that said "Receive free $20 gift card when you sign up for a baby registry." Seriously?? I guess since it has been three years since I have been pregnant, these companies think it is about time for me to start again!! I guess it is a good marketing ploy, and I do have to say that we have tossed the idea around, but come on...two Enfamil packages in two days. Crazy! Just thought I would share :P!! I am happy to pass all of these great savings onto my Sister In Law, Casey, cause she is actually pregnant!

New Year's 2008

This year, Blake and I made a quick trip to Atlanta to visit Allen and Mallory! We left right after work on Tuesday Dec. 30 and came back Thursday Jan. 1st. We were not even gone a full 48 hours...crazy! The last time we had been down there was before I even found out I was pregnant...it has been a long time! Anyway, we just hung out and caught up with them. Mallory had a small get together at her parent's house. It was really fun and stress free...which is the way I like it. It was a good little break from reality! I hope your New Years was just as fun :)

My Girl and Her Make Up

My Mom got Chloe some real make-up for Christmas. Okay, when my Mom called and asked if it was okay, I was like "Yeah...that is great...she loves my make-up so why not!!" Well, this child is obsessed with it. She asks to play make-up on a daily basis...I have now hidden it so we will see if she remembers to ask for it tonight! Here are some pictures of us doing make-up and a fun little video of her in action :)

I'm Back! Happy 2009!

Well, it has been a long time since I have posted (an actual REAL post). I have lots to update. I will try to keep it short and sweet :) We had a fabulous Christmas! I will say that I am happy it is done...I don't want to be a Grinch, but Christmas is just getting to be TOO much! It is hard to do so much in 2 days! But, besides the fact that I stress myself out (for no apparent reason)....this Holiday season was great. Chloe is at such a fun age. I love that Santa Claus is so magical to her. I don't think she grasped the full concept this year, but she is close. She knows that Santa brought her presents. She still talks about that. She also knows that we left Santa cookies on Christmas Eve and magically they were gone on Christmas Day (thanks to our wonderful dog Riley!)!

On Christmas Eve, we ate at Hanonoki with the Jenkins Clan and then opened all of our presents that night. That is our yearly tradition when everyone is in town! It was great. I always love Hananoki (Holidays or not :)) and Don and Sandy always go above and beyond for us! We got lots of fun treats! Chloe's big present was her own little table and 4 chairs. We have retired the high chair, and she now eats at her "Big Girl Table."

Christmas Morning was very, very busy! My Mom came over right after we did "Santa" and made french toast! It was so good. I had volunteered to cook, but that would have turned out disastrous so my Mom took the reigns on that one. After that, we headed back over to Don and Sandy's for an early lunch. Yum. Sandy had a little trick up her sleeve too...she had prepared a fun Dirty Santa game for us to play! That night, we had our Christmas Tradition with my Dad. Every year, for as long as I can remember, my Dad has cooked Lamb. Sounds strange to some, but Blake and I look forward to it every year! Well, this year did not disappoint. My Dad came over and cooked a humongous feast for us. It was so good. We ended the night with some ice cream and a great movie (The Traitor)! All in all, Christmas 2008 was one to remember!

Enjoy the Pics!
