Blake was the winner!

To funny not to share...

Today when I dropped Chloe off at my MIL's house, I said to Sandy "whoever wins will come and pick up the kids." (what I meant was--whoever gets done tonight first--Blake getting off work OR me getting done at Swirlz).

Well, Chloe immediatley piped up and said "Mom, I hope you win your race....I will make you a prize if you win your race!"

When I got home, I went to her room to show her my painting.  She quickly said "Mom, did you win your race?"  No...Daddy got the honor of picking up the kiddos!

So cute how literal she takes EVERYTHING!

The girls and our masterpieces!

Swirlz!

Tonight I went to a new place in town--SWIRLZ!  So fun!  We had the opportunity to paint-from start to finish-a picture of daisies!  I have to say, I was a nervous wreck!  I thought the picture would already be traced out...but, it wasn't.  Here is the step by step process of what we did tonight!  I think it turned out okay...I plan to hang it in my house so that says A LOT!  I'm already looking forward to going back!  Had a great night with my Bunco girls and got to do something fun and new...that makes for a great Thursday night!

Life Lately...In Pictures!

Last weekend we had a few beautiful days!  We maximized our time by playing outside...A LOT!  Carter got to enjoy his first time on the swing and wearing one of the many adorable hats I have collected for him :)
Maybe he doesn't love the hats as much as I do :)
But he does thoroughly enjoy the swing!

Friday night, we headed to Morton's Steakhouse with Brittnye & Steven!  It was only our second time going there and it was DELICIOUS!  They completely redeemed themselves (the first time we went, years ago, was terrible)!  Fun times!
Sunday, we went to Hananoki for Blake's birthday dinner...the whole crew.  This is one of the first pictures of all 4 of us!  It is crazy how fast time has gone.  Chloe is almost 5 & Carter is almost 6 months (1/2 a year...CRAZY)!
Jenks & his girls!
Chloe & her Millie Dog!  She asked if we could get a dog just like this--maybe one day!
This past week, Chloe also had her assessment at Clarksville Academy!   I told her she had a 'test' to take for Kindergarten!  I think she did great (from what she told me anyway)!  Either way, I'm proud of my BIG girl for going, answering her questions to the best of her ability, and doing it all with a smile!  I think she is ready for 'big school.'
Monday, we headed to Adrienne and Travis' house for some outside fun.  The kids had a great time running and playing on all their land!  It was hot and we needed bug spray...summer is on its way!  Once the sun set, they made smores.  So fun...this is something Chloe has never done.  She was quite timid at first, but warmed up to it quickly!
That night, the baby boys hung out together inside.  We had to snap their picture together because Amelia and I know they will just be best buds....and we have to have these fun pictures to look back on!  They are both so big!

Happy 28th Birthday Blake & Candlelight Ball

This past Saturday was Blake's 28th birthday!  I started the morning out with a small scavenger hunt...ultimately it lead him to a sweet treat to help him celebrate that night!  I ran some errands in the morning and then Blake dropped off the kids so that we could head to APSU's 27th Annual Candlelight Ball.  This was our 2nd time attending.  We had a blast.  It was held at the Hilton in Nashville.  Since it was Blake's birthday, we decided to stay the night and make a BIG night of it!  Fun was had by all.  Sunday morning, we were a little bit tired thanks to the time change :)  so we got some room service and headed home to pick up the kiddos!  Thanks to Grandy & Jenks for hanging out with Carter & Chloe!
Thanks to my  heels, I was a tad bit taller than Blake..I look quite silly squatting down!

Just cause its too sweet not to share...he's Charlie Brown today!

The Closet

Uggggghhhh is all I can say!  I love my closet.  That is one thing I loved about our house.  Blake and I had separate closets PLUS there were already closet organizers installed for easy organization!  Well, one of my racks holds all my dresses and skirts.  Over the years I have acquired many dresses / skirts mainly due to work :)  Well, when I walked into my closet LAST WEEK...this is what I saw.....UGGGGHHHHH!

So, in attempts to keep my closet clean, I hung up the rod again and put all the clothes pack in place.  Not 5 minutes later, the rod fell again.  FAIL!  So now I've been picking out my work clothes from the floor....and I plan for them to stay there because I don't feel like dealing with it right now!

Update on the Chunky Monkey

Well, we had our follow up appointment this past Friday to check on Carter's ears and get his 4 month {dreaded} shots.  All was well...shots went as good as can be expected.  His ears were clear {HOORAY}!!  Dr. Roads also addressed his bad cough.  I left thinking all was well....

Love these sweet chunky thighs...even with orange band-aids!

While waiting to see the Dr. Friday, Carter realized he had feet.  It was the cutest thing yet.  He has the best temperament {even when sick}...I am in awe of it everyday.

This was Carter yesterday...passed out.  As the weekend progressed, he got worse and worse.  His cough got deeper, his nose runnier, his eye gunkier, and he was constipated like no tomorrow.  So, to help relieve the tummy ache...we used this:
It was a LIFE SAVER!  I highly recommend it for those out there with small babies with backed up insides.  He had instant relief....and so did mommy & daddy!
We went back to the Dr. today.  She said that he just has a severe head cold / infection....OH, and his ears are infected again.  Hopefully the antibiotic will start to relieve some of the symptoms.  For now, Carter is fast asleep in his car seat {don't judge}!!!!

First Sleepover = Success {TEAR}

Friday night was a BIG day in the life of my sweet baby girl.  Well, since she has now officially had her first sleepover, I guess I can't call her a baby.  Her BFF, Addison, came over after school to eat pizza, watch movies & play!  Let me tell you, it was the easiest night I have had in a LONG time.  The came down to eat dinner-went back upstairs to play-ate ice cream-watched a movie-went to bed (and talked themselves to sleep :))-came down to eat breakfast-and played some MORE! :)  I think they had a great time.  As you can see, I slaved over Mickey Mouse pancakes (slaved for a whole 5 minutes)!  Addison is expecting a Baby Sister very, very soon so I told her Mommy & Daddy to enjoy their morning.  After she left on Saturday, Chloe took a long 4 hour nap!  She was wore out!
