Weekend Wrap-Up

A few extra pics that Ms. Kemmer sent from Chloe's Pumpkin Patch Field Trip last Thursday!

Ms. Kemmer's 1st Grade Class

Saturday Morning I had the pleasure of running the Susan G. Komen Race in Nashville with some of my co-workers from Jenkins & Wynne!  I've done a few 5Ks...but, this was most of their first times!  So exciting!  It was a brutally cold morning, but we made the best of it at 6am! :)

Thanks to Casey, I kept a very steady 10 minute pace!  I couldn't be more proud of my time.  I wasn't tired, my legs and lungs felt great!  Quite an accomplishment for me!

After the race, we took the kids to the Homecoming Parade at APSU!
{future Chi Omega Legacy's}

Sunday morning, we had family pictures bright and early with Courtney!
It was quite cold, but we made the best of it!  Courtney texted me a quick preview of Carter...I was so nervous that we didn't get any of him because he was all over the place!  I can't wait to see the rest!  I know we got several good ones!
{this was his sweet outfit...we all wore neutrals}

Sunday night, we headed to Trunk or Treat at Grace Community Church!
It was a HUGE success!  There were tons of people, great 'trunks', and good food!
Afterwards, we went in for Grace's Worship night!  I think the kids really enjoyed it!
We got some good cousin time in with Chandler Kate :)

{it did not take him long to get the hang of Trick or Treating...
he kept saying "I want candy in my bucket."
Not very subtle!!}

{Chloe is a Purple Country / Pop Star...crimped hair and all}

We are looking forward to Halloween on Wednesday!

Weekend Wrap Up: Part 2

On Sunday, I got up bright & early and headed to LP Field for The Color Run!
Every heard of it? Well, its #thehappiest5kontheplanet....and I now see why!
Amanda & I have been looking forward to running this race for months now...we were ready with our tutus and our white from head to toe!

{here was the route--ended up being 2.7 miles I think}

Amanda & I {BEFORE}
Nice, Clean, & White!

The Start Line-were were in the 1st coral / the color went through to my undershirt & left me a little message / during the run Amanda snapped this picture of the "orange" color station!!
....and DONE!

It really was SO fun!  Would I do it again? Not sure...but, I can 'officially' say "I'm a Color Runner!!!"

Later that day, I took the kids to the Pumpkin Patch!
I didn't realize how hot it was on Sunday until we were out in the blazing sun with NO shade, but the kids had a great time!  Carter is currently obsessed with the color orange & pumpkins!  I guess that's a good thing since his birthday falls in October!  The kids got to visit with their buddies, feed the animals, pick out a pumpkin, and ride a pony!  It was the perfect way to spend the afternoon!

{Chloe's face is priceless in this picture!!}

{this sweet face melts my heart}

Finally, on Sunday night we celebrated Carter's birthday with Grandy & Jenks!
Because we did a "no gift" birthday, they wanted to let Carter open his presents at their house!
He is just over the moon with what they got him--a yellow Mustang Cobra & an orange F150 Raptor...he loves them so much that they have been sleeping in the bed with him & riding in the car with him every day to daycare!  Thanks Grandy & Jenks!
----------------------
Chloe's teacher, Mrs. Kemmer, sent me this picture of Chloe this morning...
she LOVES to organize!  Here desk at school is no exception!
{organized by color!!}

I decided to run by myself yesterday...don't ask me why!
With that being said, it turned out to be my personal best run EVER!
I was proud...Fairway Drive is quite hilly...and I'm feeling it today!
3 miles in 30 min 10 sec {I'll take it}

Weekend Wrap-Up: Part 1

Holy Moly...what a weekend!
I didn't realize how busy this weekend was going to be...
Here is a summary of what we did:
I voted, had dinner with some of our favorite college friends, ran in the #happiest5kontheplanet with Amanda, took the kids to the pumpkin patch, shopped at a super cute barn sale, celebrated with the in-laws for Carter's birthday....MAN...we were busy!

{was happy to vote early and beat the crowds!}

My Mom took Chloe to the St. Louis Zoo on Saturday so we were a 1 child household {I have forgotten what that is like}!  So I had a low key early morning breakfast with my favorite 2 year old--Donuts & Waffles--Yum!

Afterwards, we headed to the Hayloft Barn Sale!
It was precious...I'm already excited for the next one in the Spring.
Here are my finds!

I immediately hung up my new "J" sign in our master bathroom...I have been wanting something to "jazz" it up in there so this was the perfect fit..along with a few extras I had laying around!  I'm pretty pleased!

Saturday night, we headed to dinner with Adrienne & Travis / Amelia & Andrew!
We went to Viragos in Nashville and chowed down on lots of yummy sushi!
It was a nice low-key adult night!

Finally, this picture was from last Saturday morning!
I ran 3 miles with Amanda & Casey {oh, and my sweet niece, Chandler}!
Thanks Scott for the snap shots!
These girls were helping me get ready for The Color Run I ran this past weekend...more on that tomorrow!

Carter Turns 2!

This past Sunday, we had a low-key birthday party for Carter & his friend, Anderson.
Our boys are just 2 days apart...and we both wanted a stress free kind of day!
We decided on the park at the new Marina--there are nice new pavilions out there so we new we would have a great space.  The day started out kind of yucky {to the point we were thinking alternate locations}, but God had mercy on us and the rain held off!

Here is the sweet invitation--Thanks Holly:

Our simple but fun boy inspired decor:

Some of our party patrons:
{Addison, Ava Claire, Chloe & Chandler}

The Party Planners {aka Moms of the Birthday Boys}:

{Amelia & I have been friends since our Chi Omega days...love her & I'm so glad our boys will grow up together}

Now, more of the sweet boy:
{being a little shy while we were singing...I secretly loved the extras snuggles}

{the many faces of Carter...check out his airplane shirt!!}

{Twins}

{our best attempt at a family pic before Carter's Epic Meltdown}

{I thought this was an interesting picture...Carter loves his trucks}

{Me & the proud Big Sister}

We had so much fun celebrating with our friends & family!
Thanks to those that came out to party with our boys!
