A little of this & a little of that

I have to first start with a funny story from Chloe's teacher:

"One morning last week, I let the students who had an elf share their elf's name and something about it. Chloe shared hers, but then after someone else was talking she whispers (loudly) to the child next to her, "I touched my elf!" There was a collective gasp from the class followed by lots of questions/comments/reprimands :). It was hilarious to watch. She was so proud to share that - especially after it caused such a commotion. She went on to say she was kidding, but not before enjoying the moment. I'm still laughing about it a week later! Along with her being smart, she's also quite a hoot to have in class!"

Is this not hilarious...so Chloe!  We have enjoyed having Charlie around (Thanks Grauntie)!!!  I am looking forward to Carter realizing who he is as well!

Also, today was Polar Express Day at school.  Fun, huh?  The kids got to wear their PJs to school, ride a Train in the Library, and watch The Polar Express!  I really love all the fun and different things Clarksville Academy does for the kids!  We are blessed that Chloe is able to be there this year!

Last night, we ate dinner at Ruby Tuesdays!  I think, while Blake is able to get off a tad early, we are going to make Wednesday nights Family Dinner Night!  Chloe gets out of Dance at 6, so it's a perfect time to head on to dinner...plus it saves me from cooking!  Carter was hamming it up at dinner--smiling and dancing for everyone!

  

I'm headed to our annual Junior Auxiliary Ornament Exchange Party tonight...I look forward to this all year!  Happy Thursday!

What I'm Lovin' Wednesday!

Let's get started, shall we?

First up, I'm Lovin' this sweet Gingerbread house I made with Chloe last night.  It was our first attempt EVER at the Jenkins Household...I think it turned out quite nice!  I iced and she decorated with the candy!

I'm Lovin' Christmas clothes for my girl! 

I've been dying for her to wear this outfit ever since I bought it months ago!

I'm Lovin' that my boy just sacked out the other day...he was worn out (picture taken by Chloe)!!

I'm Lovin' this new Potato Soup Recipe. 

YOU.MUST.TRY.IT

You can do this in a crock pot, but I did not.  Here are the easy steps to this YUMMY recipe!

1 bag shredded hash brows

1 can cream of chicken

3 cans of chicken broth

1/4 teaspoon black pepper

handful of bacon bits

handful of chopped green onion

salt to taste

Cook until potatoes are tender (about an  hour).

Add a block of cream of cheese (can't be fat free because it won't melt) until melted.

Enjoy with chives, bacon, cheese, or toppings of your choice!

That's it!  Super Easy!

I'm Lovin' the adventures of our Elf, Charlie!

Yesterday, Charlie was a bad elf and got into our cereal...it was all over the counter!  I am sad that I did not take a picture!

But, I did catch him today hanging from our kitchen light fixture!  Chloe was amazed that he was up there!

I'm also Lovin' the Holidays with my Family!

The Adventures of Charlie the Elf, Part 1

Thanks to my co-worker, Amanda, Charlie had a hot date last night.  

Chloe woke up to him in her hallway sitting in her barbie Jeep with Miss Barbie herself.  Chloe said that they were girlfriend and boyfriend!  She loved it.  She got really nervous when our dog, Riley, got close to Charlie.  

You see, you can't touch Charlie or he will loose his magic!  I love that she believes with all her heart!  It's really sweet.  This time of year, my favorite part of the morning is watching her search for Charlie!  Yesterday he was hanging out in her stocking waiting for her to wake up!

My Mom got the kids Advent Calendars this year!  I'm so excited about this as this is something I did every year for as long as I can remember!  Chloe was excited to open up the first little door today...oh, and BONUS, she got to open Carter's too!

 

We are getting in the Christmas Spirit!
